The Story Behind Our Name & Mascot 🐾

Every business has a story, and for Lil’ Claw Co., ours starts with a very special cat named Lily-Gray.

Lily showed up one day in our backyard, not demanding, not skittish, just curious. We noticed right away that she had a clipped ear, and after a little research, we learned what that meant: she was once a feral cat who had been spayed and released. Despite that rough start, Lily was one of the friendliest souls you could ever meet.

Over time, she kept coming back. First it was cautious visits in the yard, then a few steps closer, and eventually, she decided on her own that our home was her fur-ever place. Every day, she made contact with each of us in the family. It was like she wanted to make sure everyone felt noticed. You could literally feel her appreciation just pouring out, soft purrs, little rubs, the kind of affection that melts your heart.

Sadly, at the end of 2024, we noticed Lily wasn’t herself. A vet confirmed what we were afraid of — kidney failure. That same day, we had to say goodbye. 💔 It was one of the hardest days, but her memory has become something we treasure deeply.

When it came time to name our business, it only felt right to honor Lily. The “Lil’” in Lil’ Claw Co. is for her — our little gray cat who brought us so much joy. And the gray cat mascot you see in our branding? That’s inspired directly by Lily Gray herself.

She’ll always be remembered, not just by our family, but now in the heart of this business, too. 🐾
